Wow our first visit to the saltwater grill was Wow, I was put off visiting SALT WATER GRILL initially because its not very big, BUT we were pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the experience was, excellent food, good presentation, good service, value for money, definitely a must visit and plus for pinelands
Saltwater Grill is a hidden gem in Pinelands, next to Howard Centre. They specialise in seafood, but there a couple of beef and vegetarian options. This was our first visit, and we will definitely be back. We had the queen prawn special in a lemon butter sauce (also available in peri peri oil or garlic) and the seafood stew, which is a variety of seafood in a tomato based sauce served with toasted ciabatta. The prawns were big, fresh and perfectly cooked. We managed to try all 3 sauces used on the prawns, they were all delicious, but the lemon butter was my favourite. We were stuffed, but couldn't leave without trying the dessert. We had the salted caramel pannacotta which is served with a strawberry compote and a nut praline, it was heavenly and the perfect end to our meal. The prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly and the service is great. It is quite a small restaurant and they are quite busy most nights so be sure to make a booking a few days in advance.
Had a really lovely meal at the Saltwater Grill tonight. Charming service from Alfred and delicious seafood meal. Heaters made it nice and cosy on this very cold night. Crunchy prawn springrolls with lemon grass and tuna tetaki for starters followed by calamari and hake for mains. Everything fresh and tasty. They managed to squeeze us in and we were happy they could. Highly recommended
